When
a Box
Becomes
a Home
Huff
& Puff, You Can't Blow This House Down

Imagine
this, Hurricane Katrina hits New Orleans and FEMA is ready and
forward thinking, having housing available, ready to construct and
move-in immediately. Pipe dream? No. Reality? Yes!
LEEP
Inc. holds the domestic and international patents to this home in a
box technology that utilizes LeepCoreTM
Steel SIP technology which is a steel skin,
polyurethane foam core, load-bearing structured insulated panel used
to construct walls, roofs and floors for an Integrated Building
System which is virtually indestructible.
Currently
LEEP holds a contract with the State Department and has constructed
71 mail screening facilities installed and U.S. Embassies and
Consulates across the world. The implications for this type of
building are immense.
This 480 square foot building (pictured above) gets shipped in a box actually made with the LeepCore panel and contains additional panels, walls, roof, lighting, kitchen and bathroom appliances to construct a complete building in less than a day on any reasonably flat terrain, anywhere in the world. Price tag? Under $50,000!
And it's scalable. Like any great Lego project, you can build up or build sideways to create any size building from office building, to schools, to military facilities. An insurance agent's dream as the building is water/rot/mold, termite, wind, fire and seismic force resistant. In addition the building is safe, affordable and energy efficient.
This
building in Houston Texas was built 10 years ago and has survived 5
hurricanes including Ike which flew right over the building and there
was zero damage. Not even a broken window.
“Insurance
claims revolve around natural causes of damage and destruction...this
technology is virtually impervious to damage. Most buildings suffer
catastrophic failure under extreme conditions. Our buildings are
portable or permanent and perfect for the military, disaster relief,
or on-site workers housing
for construction and mining” says John Nordstrom, CEO of the
company.
LEEP, Inc. has established new standards of efficiency, effectiveness and value within the construction industry with its patented LeepCore™ structural building material. LeepCore™ constructed buildings are stronger, lighter, faster to erect, environmentally clean and more cost effective than building structures built with traditional wood, concrete and steel building materials. The Company operates a 40,000 square foot fabrication, and assembly facility in Somerset, KY.
